MANUKA HONEY

I would be really interested in what people think about taking Manuka honey. I know its quite a pricey item depending on quality and strengh etc.

It claims many health benefits, never heard whether it is good for those of us who are coping with bone mets. I think i did read about it being good for lungs and airways, I also haveca primary lung cancer, hence my interest in the lung issues. Never quite sure which info is most reliable.

Do any of you ladies have any experience of it, or have thoughts about it please

I read it is good for skin conditions and infections (sore throats) but that once it hits your stomach it’s medicinal qualities end. You have to get the honey that’s a 10 or better. It’s expensive.

Hi there

All honey has different flavours depending where the bees feed...honey has healing properties for wound care...one of my horsey friends put honey on a bad wound on her horses leg when nothing else worked and the honey cleared the infection and deodorised the wound and it healed perfectly...however when it’s eaten it’s just another form of sugar...nice though!!

Manuka honey is in my opinion overpriced and just eating a honey that is grown locally is probably best imo

I thought it was more for wounds.

Bit late answering but I take Manuka Honey every day. I didn’t take it for a week and noticed I felt a little weary. I take 300+. It’s around £38 a month but I can’t put a value on it when I think it helps. It has antiseptic properties. I have bone mets and C in my lungs. Hope this helps.
