Hair Loss on Ibrance
Following your post I have the same question after more than 2 1/2 yrs on Ibrance.
I doubt there is anything you can do to keep your hair. Those cold wrap things cost a fortune and don't know if they would do anything.
It's a reaction to the meds; if you're going to lose your hair, you're going to lose your hair. Mine has really thinned out. After years of whining about my unruly, curly hair, which everyone complimented me on, I've lost most of it. Karma's a bitch! I finally found a couple of wigs that look really good on me, so I've made my peace with the situation. When I first wore the wig, everyone said "oh, your hair is different". I smiled sweetly and replied with a smile "yes". Fortunately, I still have eyelashes and eyebrows (slightly thinned out), so with a wig and mascara and eyebrow pencil, I still kind of look like myself. Start looking at wigs.
It has really thinned out my hair so I add hair pieces which work great.
I purchased a light therapy helmet and began using it last night. There is a scant amount of research that it may help slightly. It will take months to know, so I pulled out my old wig and had it trimmed yesterday. I also made up a concoction a friend used to reverse stress induced, total alopecia. Smells horrible but maybe? Eyelash and eyebrow serum are effective for me. Good luck and please let us know if you find something that works.
I have a serious problem with extreme brittle hair with curly structure! Are there suggestions for calming this down? I also had some fallout while on Ibrance, but that has stopped going forward. Good luck. Kathy
My hair thinned and broke. After 14 months on Ibrance it is slowly coming back.
Have faith. My hairdresser cut layers around my face. I don’t dye my hair. The gray looks great. Reenie
I'm losing mine too! It's getting really thin with bald spots.
Pre cancer my hair was long and thick.
Thinking about a topper!
