I have no idea what my tumor markers are. From what I understand they are not a very precise measure of activity. My doctor doesn’t seem focused on them either. I go by my scans. I don’t know if this helps.

I’m a pretty anxious type. I have had to learn how to take it down a notch. Since my doctor doesn’t fixate on tumor markers, it’s one less thing to stress over.

Like you, I appreciate when tm are low. But my onc says they aren’t determinative and that other less obvious tests are more significant. I would be worried too so I hope hearing my doctor’s input helps. For what it’s worth, I’ve seen other posters echo what my doc has said. Good luck.

I also don’t know what Tumor markers are. I assume it’s something in your bloodwork? It’s so hard not to worry when anything changes. If your doctor isn’t worried than I wouldn’t worry either. (Easier said then done)

My TM's have never been as low as yours, so don't worry. Mine are up to 675 and double every time I have a blood test. So, for me, it's time to change my regiment.

We are all nervous about scans and I wish you good results. So far though my onc doesn't discuss TMs and I don't look at my patient portal. I'm anxious about everything as it is!!!!

I have had stage iv for over a year and a half and never asked, nor was I ever told and don't care what my tumor markers are. I have been told by my onco and other medical people in the field that tumors indicate nothing. They go up and down and that oncos do not make any decisions based on the tumors markers. This is one reason why I am glad that they don't matter bc I have seen women on other boards get themselves all upset about tumor markers because they believe it makes a big difference. What give yourself something extra to stress about when it really doesn't affect the cancer itself or what is going on. I go by scans which show whether or not it is progressing.
