That is wonderful news! Achieving NED at stage 4 (no matter your type of cancer) is difficult but no impossible. Some women here have achieved it. My friend with HER2+ ,which I believe is faster growing than HER2- , is currently NED. She had bilateral bc and extensive bone mets so I know it is possible! For how long that is another question...
I think your oncologist is being very careful. I am at NED but that only means that we can’t see the disease, not that it is gone. He probably doesn’t want to give you false hope that it is gone. I’m happy that the scan shows no NED because that means the drug combination works for me...for now! I had two lumps under my arm as well as bone mets. The lumps under my arm are gone. The bone mets show nothing. They will eventually trick their way around the Ibrance wall but the good thing is that it will probably take longer. I am happy for you that your scan looks better. That’s all we ask for each time we get scanned.
