I agree more research for tnbc, but ours is controllable, tnbc they really dnt have too many treatments to rely on. Keep fighting for a cure!

I remember my oncologist once telling me how fortunate I was compared to a triple negative patient (I can't say I feel positive about having breast cancer) as I have more options, and theirs are limited.

Yes oncologists are human and it must be so upsetting to want to help someone and can’t

Also she has to be the one to impart the bad news..gosh I couldn’t do that job...I used to feel bad if I couldn’t save someone’s tooth fgs...sorry I’m not meaning to be flippant

Thank goodness there’s lots of research on thbc

I guess we’re lucky (?? !!) with oestrogen positive as we have a few options

Maybe this is awful but you would think they would research MBC that occurs the most even if it is not lethal as quickly - the cure rate is zero!

I agree

Hi Sandra,

That must have been so upsetting for your oncologist, and for you too. I do wonder how they can do the job. I respect my oncologist a lot for being able to do such a difficult job and to do it with professionalism.

Thanks for the information!

Wow, belated, but thank you so much for sharing this info! The study was of interest to me, so I clicked through, and it's my sister's doc (whom I met with a few years ago for a second opinion), Dr. Marcom, who's running the trial! I've been thinking I need to see him because, as things progress, there are family reasons why I'd want to be in NC, not Dallas or NYC (my other docs)....this study might be just the reason to set up that appointment!

This site is so valuable...because of the wonderful, informed, women who contribute!
