IBrance fatigue

I currently take IBrance and Letrazole for my cancer. Besides the thinking of the hair which is not that noticable I have extreme fatigue. Does anyone take IBrance and struggle with fatigue? Have you found anything that helps the fatigue? I sleep alot and don't like it.

I experienced the fatigue early on and it was quite debilitating. My doc prescribed a very low dose of methylphenidate (generic form of Ritalin). It really helped. A month later I felt the fatigue started to resolve and now I take the methylphenidate only when I need it — which is a couple of times per week. Good luck!

Thank you for that tip I will see if it would work for me. I average 3 hours sleep per night if lucky. It’s my only symptom next to thinning hair and I have tried other sleeping meds prescribed by GP but which leave me feeling awful and sluggish,

I take 1000mg CBD oil before bedtime and sleep like a baby.

Hi, Purple60! I am intrigued by this! I, too, have suffered from fatigue on and off, but no one ever suggested Ritalin to me. When I complained about fatigue to my first med onc, he just suggested I take a break from the Ibrance. This is good to know! Thanks!

I think almost everyone on Ibrance feels tired. I always take it at night, not sure if that helps. There are times I feel fine and weeks when I am dragging. I feel much better when I juice greens. I am intrigued by using Ritalin. I nap if I can't keep my eyes open. I haven't started to exercise yet, but that might help.

Hi, AngelicAmy! I, too, have suffered from fatigue caused by the Ibrance. If I didn't work, I would taken a nice long nap every afternoon, but instead I binge sleep on the weekends.

I have been on the Ibrance/Letrozole combination for almost two years now and, according to my hairdresser, have lost almost 50 percent of my hair. Thankfully, I started with a lot of hair, so going with a shorter cut has helped to mask the loss.

You might want to try getting more exercise to combat the fatigue. I find that that helps whenever I can squeeze it into my schedule.

I was extremely fatigued but I’ve cut out a lot of carbs and sugar and my fatigue greatly lessened.

I have extreme fatigue. Some days I can barely function. I don’t work and I honestly couldn’t because of my fatigue after 10 months it hasn’t improved.

I have a lot of Fatigue and started B12 injections 2 months ago which hasnt helped so far. I think I’ll ask about the Ritalin too. The week I’m off of Ibrance I begin to feel some better then have to restart and cycle starts again. Keep sending ideas that work.
