I'd not heard of this test so googled it. I've always had good luck by letting the doctors know how scared, nervous, whatever, I am and asking them to take good care of me! This is an exam of the cervix and uterus, right? I had something like that a very long time ago and the only problem was that I had stenosis of the cervix and so when the scope was pushed thru, that hurt a bit. But if I'd not had that stenosis, it would have bee fine. A biopsy was done, too and that did not hurt.

Thanks for the reply. Yes it is a cervix and uterus exam, all done, it wasn't so bad the exam but when you're scared you cant controlled your self, the pain it was after an hour when the exam finished, all day i was in pain, got through it iam good now ☺☺

I'm glad it's over! I hope the exam will show your doctor anything that needs to be known about, and that there will be nothing at all like that! One thing I always tell myself is how lucky I am to be living when modern numbing, anesthesia and pain control are available! I had my tonsils out when ether was still being used and had a horrible reaction to it and ended up with pneumonia, so I have a real to me comparison to make, lol. It wasn't at all funny then, but all I have to do is remember that and I am immediately grateful for the alternatives we have now.

I’ve had it done twice. For the most part it is uncomfortable but painful. I think I remember it was quite quick too. Good luck.

Thankyou for your reply, yes it was quick, the pain was after the exam, like having real bad periods, the doctor said taking the ibrance hurts more, all finish and strong again to continue what ever is waiting for me ☺☺

Have had one colonoscopy and my husband has has had two. It’s easy and painless for most people very low risk procedure. They give you IV meds for pain and most people do not remember anything! You won’t even remember it most likely. Really !

Thanks for your reply

Its a different test, this is a exam in the cervix and uterus, but all done and finish, all good, 3 weeks i get results

I have had a colonoscopy and it was painless. My doc gives a relaxant and a small dose of pain meds and I didn’t feel a thing. Good luck.

Ahh ! Sorry. I read it wrong. Glad it is over and hope ok. I am a Nurse Practitioner and can vouch for test not being bad but with our diagnosis I would be anxious as well !
