Jaw Pain
Yes, that is the first thought but I had not gotten to sleep yet and this happened two days in a row. It happened right after my nighttime meds so it could be one of those that now bothers me. BUT, I also had my third prolia shot a few weeks ago and it most likely is that!! So sucks if that is the case. I was wondering if any of the meds we are on also cause that necrosis issue if that is the problem. Thanks for the response.
I had no side effects with letrozole other than it didn't work for me.
Thinking it is either Prolia or what I hope just my neck messed up! I Went to chiropractor today and he thinks neck may very well be problem. I get a jaw X-ray tomorrow
She did not do one. she said in January it will be 5 years and we will do another panoramic but did not think I needed right now, unless pain continues or get worse. It actually feels better after my chiro adjustment which makes me think it is my neck. So, I am not worrying about it now! Always a lot on our plates. But, all the same, if there is a problem most likely from the Prolia, not Ibrance.
Hi there- I had about 3 zometa infusions starting last January and the switched to Xgeva in July. Last June had extreme pain in a molar that apparently went bad & last week's root canal showed an infection existed. I would have extracted the tooth but Xgeva made that too dangerous because of ONJ risk.
My second Xgeva shot earlier this month came with a jolt to my jaw soon after... the other side and back where I didn't have a tooth (wisdom tooth area). Felt like voodoo but that doesn't sound too medical or scientific... lol!!!
Now both sides of jaw cause mild to moderate alternating pains and sometimes radiates or seems centers in my ears. I am thinking my lower cell counts (ANC/neutrophils) could be causing infections to brew but not sure which is the chicken and the egg as to recent development of jaw problems. I also have a swollen sunlingual salivary gland under the tooth area of the canal. It hasn't subsided and not sure how long it has existed.
I also have wondered if pain could be coming from my neck. I have both mets and arthritis to my cervical region as well as other parts of my spine. I don't dare to return to a chiropractor since bone mets diagnosis.
Zometa & Xgeva effects are similar to Prolia.
My jaw pain did turn out to be from my neck. But, it is scary. I have been using my chiropractor for 34 years and I trust him more than most of my doctors. I did tell him not to do the twist adjustment any longer as that scared me.
