My mets were dx last summer by my physiatrist bc I had plantar fasciitis
I also had pain in my r hip at night that had been dismissed by the oncologist and orthopedist
Although my last oet scan showed complete resolution I have noticed increasing joint pain particularly when I shift positions. Ie from sitting to standing or doing an activity like canoeing
I am wondering if this is the impact of the meds... always worse after I take the monthly Xgeva?????

I’m sure it’s the Xgeva. My worst joint pain is during the week after my injection. Nurse told me to take Claritin that week and that many women found relief from the joint aches. I’ll try it next month. XO Linda
I’d blame the meds...I take Zometa...Sometimes I feel great afterwards! And sometimes not so much...one of the nurses suggested an allergy pill as well...it’s worth a try...many blessings to u!
I, too have full treatment response after last scan. Also on Xgeva and have had joint pain and very achey at times, also after faslodex shots. I"m also on Ibrance. I do think achey joints/bones can be a side effect from Xgeva. Hang in there.
I too suffer awful back pain after my xgeva injection..I have extensive bone mets ..it’s very annoying..I don’t like taking painkillers all the time but I’m afraid I can’t function without them and I need to live my life
