Dizziness after a Pet Scan

Is it normal to experience dizziness the day after a pet scan. I was fine yesterday and evening after the test but woke up very dizzy and it has come and gone all day?

Should I be concerned?

Hello, Becky! I had a pet scan yesterday but did not have your side effect. I have, however, experienced episodes of dizziness periodically and have found that I am typically a bit dehydrated. You may be low on electrolytes as well; GatorAde helps a lot! Good luck. Linda

Thank you Linda! That makes me feel better. I of course got on an airplane at 9am today and flew to Florida so that probably isn’t helping lol. Downing lots of water

I get dizzy sometimes out if the blue not necessarily from the pet scan. Call your doctor and run it by him or her. Drink a lot of water too! Be well.

Thanks! Day 2 after scan was much much better! Today I feel great and not dizzy at all. Before my re-diagnosis, 2 years ago yesterday :-), I used to get dizzy a lot while sitting and had the sensation of falling. Since the Ibrance and aromasin, not too often any more.
