NEED HELP WITH LYMPHEDEMA

Has anyone found any alternative methods to help with lymphedema, aside from bandaging , compression, MLD?

Specifically, has anyone had complete reversal through alternative methods? Methods that you discovered on your own?

Here's what I've done for arm and trunk lymphedema -- manual drainage by specialized physical therapists, specialized lymph drainage massage as well as self massage, acupuncture, compression sleeves and K-T athletic tape for my back/trunk, which really helps. I can lead you to some info for that if you're interested. My PT also fought to get me a compression machine that I only use when it really flares up. These have all helped at various times. I just kept searching for ways to control it. I wish you all the best with finding some answers for yourself.

Thanks so much, I’ve been looking into cutting out sugar also, have you tried that and if so found it worked at all?

I don't eat a lot of sugar, but do enjoy my dark chocolate. I notice that I feel more filled up with fluid after eating certain foods, balsamic vinegar is one. So weird.

Sister/Warrior There was a post 1 year ago , on a cutting edge surgery treatment that is in

the HealthUnlocked right side bar( related post ) area of the page. I think it was posted by

Joan137. I read the article, and this procedure is working. You need to read this article. I don't

remember what Dr. or where it is being done. I am sure it is very expensive, and is at the

moment probably not covered by health insurance. I pray that eventually this procedure will

be available for those of us who suffer from Lymphedema, especially those suffering with

extreme swelling, and pain.
