Yes after two years, my whole family plans around my off week. I can travel and do projects. The third week can a killer. Keep a Google calendar that your family and friends can access. That way they have a heads up about what you can do. I always have a list for that week. Like switching the winter summer clothes. Cleaning a closet. Catching up with friends. I have to be careful not to overdo when I am feeling good. Lol

Omg it’s my 3rd week and I changed over my clothes and now can’t get off the couch. Grrrr

Thank you for your input. Last week was my week 'off' with Ibrance. I also will do the basics, enjoy the week when I do have a week off. Back to the grind on Monday, with the hope, it knocks out cancer. Take care all.

I just cleaned out my closets the week before I started the Ibrance for the first time. I also switched clothes in closets so I have winter clothes in master bedroom closet. That is so funny that at least 3 of us had the same idea around the same time. I, too, have trouble over doing so my goal this time on this treatment is to do one activity a day outside of the house and leave the inside for the week off. I much rather use my time meeting up with friends.

Funny....I may be the exception. My week off has become my worst week. I am just finishing up my 7th month of Ibrance. I expected my week off to be wonderful but it is actually my first week back on Ibrance that is my best week. I have no idea why!

Wow. Now I’m on my 3rd week of ibrance first round and it has been my best week. Tired but not fatigued.

This is great news! 👍. If you have things on you list to get done-go do them 😊. I’m anxious to see how next week is for you. Hoping that you have twice as much energy as this week 💕

I’m with you Alice-“off week” is just that. Lights are on but I’m not home lol. You will find me asleep somewhere. I have zero energy, appetite, or desire to do anything but watch the Hallmark channel between naps. I do get up and do my thing around the house and manage to walk the dogs but I pretty much don’t leave Home this week.

BUT. Everyone is different so I don’t want anyone to think this is the case for everyone on a Ibrance. It is working so I’ll take all the side effects that come with it. Today is Day 1 back on so I’m back on my game !!

Same with me. My week off is the worse for me as well. I will have mouth sores my week off and when I start back on it the first week I can feel really good.

I just mentioned to my sister this morning that it was the 2nd day of my "Off" week and I felt the fatigue. Just finished my 4th cycle and each has been different. Just praying it's working!!!

Hello, I agree each cycle is a little different for each of us. I have just finished cycle 7 and so far my off week is the best. My oncologist pharmacist has warned me that this medication has a tendency to flip around cycle 7 or 8 and the off week becomes the worst while the on weeks get better. I'll gladly trade 3 weeks of fatigue for 1 week. Overall this is still much better than the Red Devil - IV chemo.

I’m on my 3rd month. I really don’t notice much difference except I’m not as fatigued.

My week off is the hardest. I hit the wall and usually get mouth sores that week. I'm going on my 11th cycle. So far my mets have either shrunk, no longer there, and the remaining are stable. I am ER/PR positive with bone mets. So I'll take a rough week as long as it's doing it's job.

I'm on on my 2nd cycle of Ibrance & must say I have felt no difference. No side effects, just tired a little. Being off it was as good as on, I can go out & do mall the same stuff. Hope this continues. Next month I will have my first scan to see if the cancer in the spine is "mellowing" out!

My first 3 month scans I seen hugh numbers in as well as I had done on Ibrance, Zometa, Letrsole 2.5 mg. The second sets of scans there were still some good news but my Oncologist warned me we wouldn't see those big numbers like we did the first three months. I'm just glad be it's working and hope it keeps working. I want to be around for a long time if nothing else to aggravate my Oncologist as much as possible.
