I'm participating in some work around improving support for managing shoulder pain after breast cancer surgery/ radiation or reconstruction. I'm keen to listen to your experience of shoulder pain, what worked well, what support you got for it and if you still have it. I can be privately messaged if you prefer.

I strongly recommend this YouTube channel youtube.com/channel/UCw2-4c...
Jen is wonderful and covers many many aspects of BC recovery. I learned a lot from watching these videos, as my BC was diagnosed at the start of covid so not many in person visits, mostly telehealth for about 2 years. Jen has also started a Facebook page; I am a member there and it's a good place for discussion/sharing of experiences facebook.com/groups/breastc... She has been doing weekly half hour presentations for free; there is going to be a nominal cost starting in November but you only pay if it is a topic you want to watch. Most of this is covered in her YouTube presentations. Meryl
Dear bikebabe,
Sttrange you should mention shoulderpain.
After my surgery to remove the cancerous lump in my left breast in June this year I started to get a nagging pain in my left shoulder which got worse as time went by. Plus also a sharp pain under my left breast. I had a PET scan done in September and got the news that the cancer had spread into my lymphnodes and into my bones . Several spots in my spine, in my left shoulder and in some ribs. They acredited the pain in my left shoulder to that and told me that I also had 4 fractured ribs, one of which was under my left breast. I have been on IBRANCE since early October. (I started Lestorol in Agust)
Since two days the pain in my shoulder has become much less, so much so that I have not taken any ibuprofen or naproxen for the last 2 nights, (ssubscribed by my oncologist) when the pain was the worst. During the day I hardly felt pain maybe because I try to keep busy ,but it always seemed to get worse at night.
I am now wondering if the IBRANCE palbociclib , 125mg , has caused that pain to become much less? I hope it continues so!
