hello fellow survivors of Breast Cancer, I received Herceptin as one of the four drugs given for my breast cancer and have twice had heart failure. The first time I spent 8 days in the hospital the second 15 days in the hospital , 7 of those days in ICU. Has anyone else have any heart problems due to this drug?
thank you

I hate to hear that you have had so much trouble. I have been using Herceptin and Perjeta for almost 4 years and have my heart checked probably every 3 months. So I have been doing good but I did have a problem with the Xgeva shot. Really I have been told everyone is different and act different with the treatments so I really believe it and take the treatment and hope it works. I have a nurse practitioner that has been with me almost the whole time and she really works to understand me and my issues.
Hi twoboobsdown, you prove that not all women can take these cancer meds. I've been on letrozole 3 months and a week ago started having frequent frightening heart arrythmias among other nasty side effects. Letrozole is definitely affecting my heart in a bad way. I was feeling heart arrythmias deep inside my chest and was crying because I was scared they might lead to a heart attack. I decided to stopped letrozole a day ago and the heart arrythmias have quickly gone away from two today compared to many a day for a week. The medicine letrozole caused this 100%. I don't have a solution. All I can say, my heart isn't suffering anymore.
