I was originally diagnosed with hormone positive breast cancer in 2014 as stage 2B. I had surgery, radiation and chemotherapy and had thought my cancer would not come back. I was diagnosed as metastatic in 2019 and my cancer has progressed.

Sorry to read that Priya- what treatment are you offered now? Have you been on aromatase inhibitors or Tamoxifen for the two years? Wishing you strength and hoping CoViD not getting in the way of treatment now xx

One of the mysteries of breast cancer is how and why it recurs after years. Please make sure you get a second opinion. If you are in the USA, find the closest NCI Certified Cancer Center for the second opinion -

A patient with whom I was working traveled quite a distance to get a second opinion at an NCI Certified Cancer Center and then had treatment locally. The NCI Certified Cancer Center agreed with her local oncologist but left the door open for her to contact them with any questions.

I am new to the group too and just wanted to offer my support. Wishing you strength as you deal with this after all you have been through. Covid sure doesn't make it any easier.

Priya— so sorry about your recurrence. I welcome you to this group. My stage 4 diagnosis was a year ago and I have found this group to be wonderful support and plenty of good information.

I wish you success with your treatment and minimal side effects. ❤️
