Hi, my name is Lana. October 6th was my 5 year in remission. And I was allowed to stop all hormone treatment letrozole and lupron shot. Still waiting for my ovaries to wake back up though so I can try for my first baby. Does anyone have any experience about the period coming back after breast cancer and these meds?

Lana, I do not have experience with those medications, but wanted to reply. Congratulations on completing the cycle of medication and facing the future waking up those ovaries and preparing for your new life..
Hi Lana,
I also do not have any experience in this area - was post menopausal when diagnosed, but I wanted to let you know how glad I am that you are doing so well. Congratulations and best wishes for a long and healthy future!
I also was post menopausal but wish you the very best for the future!!
Hi Lana,
Congratulations on your 5 years🥳🥳
I am 42 was diagnosed when I was 40 and my oncologist did ask me if I wanted to have children but I told her no. I have a 4 year old and that’s enough for me.
My doctor put me on lupron injection and anastrazole (it’s the sister to letrozole). It’s put me in menopause and I no longer get my period. You are much younger though so hopefully your ovaries can wake up and you can get pregnant 👍🏼 We are all rooting for you!!!
Interesting enough, I do recall a NY Presbyterian commercial with a young cancer survivor. In it she’s holding a baby and says that she never thought she could have a baby after facing death. I was always touched by this commercial.
