Sorry to hear about your diagnosis. You are not alone! And you are certainly not alone in thinking too much and feeling scared. As a 17 year survivor, the two things I am sure to tell people who are newly diagnosed is to 1) try not to let your thoughts/imagination get ahead of you and 2) figure out ways to deal with the fear and anxiety early on. With the diagnosis of cancer comes worry, fear and anxiety probably for the rest of your life. Learning to manage this now could only benefit you going forward.
I agree with TNBC16 110%. I was diagnosed 30 days ago and went thru the similar roller coaster you are experiencing right now. I was scared to my core. But please remember, you have to make a choice. Make the right choice for you and focus.

The road ahead might be rough for a while but please know that there is light at the end of the tunnel You might get off with a light sentence, radiation and or hormone therapy or go the full round with chemo and all but somehow you will find the strength to get through it and become a survivor We are all here to help you make it through this journey and make your travels as easy as possible Please let us know what your next steps will be.
I was diagnosed beginning of December last year, had my operation on the 22nd and began radiotherapy on the 25th of January. I was terrified. My head was all over the place and the ladies on here were so kind to me, it's not an exaggeration to say, they helped pull me through the bad times and I don't know how I would have coped without them. You are going to be scared, everyone is. The important thing is whatever the diagnosis and treatment option, once you know your plan, you actually do feel better. There is so much support on this forum, and everyone will tell you the same thing. Not knowing your treatment plan and having to wait for results is the worst part. I wish you luck and send you massive hugs. All the ladies on here will support you and try to answer all your questions. Take one step at a time and you will cope, jackie x
Gods continued blessings in your life. Fear is worry and worry is the absence of faith.I know it is easy to say don't worry, but worrying doesn't change the situation, but prayer surely does, and did in my cancer prognosis. My around one year to live prognosis is now 9 years with no evidence of disease.I am a modern day miracle. This two is yours for the taking.Fight /Pray Warrior.
