Good Afternoon yellow731,

I am glad to hear you have received treatment and are now home. We would advise speaking with your GP or pharmacist in regard to taking any over the counter, herbal remedy, or prescription drug as they will know which is best for you in relation to your medical history and other medications you are currently taking.

Katrina.

Anxiety is natural...I found it hard to sleep at first...gradually this improved..there will be other moments...out walking alone..first airplane flight etc ..but it gradually gets better...good luck!

Things are good now , get anxiety a bit now and then but thats mainly due to acid reflux then you start thinking for a while , but its my body adjusting to tablets ,new diet etc will settle down in the end , i walk 2 miles every morning ,then cycle 5miles every night , will up the mileage as body gets use to it , started rehab at hospital to so its all good , i see you signed up today ?

Hi, yes signed up today as looking for support from others who have experienced a heart attack without warning... I think i'm still in shock. Had to have a stent fitted on thursday & just recovering at home now. I am struggling with all the tablets which are giving me stomach ache..

Thank you for replying, it is helpful & reasurring to see you are so well & active, that really makes me feel less scared of the future.. I am missing my walking & swimming.

Hi you will be ok , i was in your shoes back in july ,mine was without warning, its scary but gets better each day ,i lived a single man lifestyle everything processed cooked in oven 1 meal a day guy , ate sweets and doughnuts ,takeaways didnt exercise ,well walked to the car or pub thats it ,smoked 20 a day weighed 99kg ,now dont smoke , eat porrige and dates for breakfast , go on a 2 mile walk after ( was 50 yards 2nd week ) eat plenty of veg , salad and nuts, getting stronger everyday , you will get there ,and you get use to tablets ,your body is just adjusting to new things, as my rehab nurse said to me your heart is better now than before HA stent has opened arterie up , the pills do there work , and you do your bit exercise and eat healthy , you can start walking in the morning ,

Hi,I'm glad you're doing better! I had a heart attack March 2022, for 3 days I had "back pain" that got progressively worse, until it started moving up my neck. At that point, common sense kicked in and I called 911. I had a Stent placed as well.

It took almost a year to not be scared about every pain in my back or chest, but it does get better.
