I’m female mid seventies and have angina and a GT spray. I get severe chest pains but only when resting. I was to have day surgery a few weeks ago to remove an anal polyp which might be cancerous but despite having a thorough pre op assessment, the anaesthetist said I could not be treated unless a bed could be found for me that evening.
I was fuming and questioned the point of having the pre op assessment as it was discussed at length that I had angina!
I’ve seen a cardiologist and waiting for angiogram now but he didn’t think I’d got angina either!
Feeling quite stressed about all this. Hope somebody can comment.
