Feeling guilty.

I feel guilty for being at home from work, I'm there everyday almost and I can't bring myself to enter the place, I work in a grocery store with my girlfriend and since i had my heart attack in November I just can't enter that place and I feel guilty that I'm not there working and pulling my weight, I was just wondering if anyone else feels this way or felt that way.

Then I think you should talk to a counsellor and have a good talk and see if you can get to the bottom of this. After my heart attack I change enormously and it was a shock for me. I needed help and I asked and I got it. Best thing I ever got. Talking is the way forward. Not to people you know but a stranger. With people you know when you talk they add questions and extras baggage to the situation making it worse. But with counsellors as they just let you pour it out without judgement. As I say best thing I ever did.

Yes! I used to have a panic attack every time I drove into my works car park - you are not alone in feeling like this. I agree with Andyman you should talk to a counsellor your dr should be able

To put you in touch with someone. If you are uk based then look up Talking Therapies. The cardiac rehab group (if you attend one or have their number) may also be able to help some of the cardiac nurses are trained for counselling and CBT. Even the British Heart Foundation may be able to help. Good luck it does get better just takes some time X

Don't feel gulty, I am a workaholic. I hadn't taken a vacation from work in 12years, till I had my heart.attack. Now I rush for no one, and let the people who get paid to worry, do all the worrying. I look at my heart attack as wake up call, slow down and enjoy life. Everything will work itself out.
