I have recently bought a tread-mill "not an expensive one" and use it during the night or when I can't sit down, I find it a great help, I also have a bike on a training roller. I now don't have to go out in the rain.

I am so pleased this works for you, unfortunately I find too much exercise makes my rls worse and on a day when I am particularly active I suffer badly. A gentle wander around the kitchen a few times then climbing the 2 flights back to bed is about all I dare do when its bad.
Please, please, please be careful. I fell on it once being so over-tired.
I do a million things to stop the insane need to keep my legs running
so I do know that it's a choice that makes good sense. (treadmill)
I wish someone was awake to go for a midnight walk with me...
not for the sake of being romantic. (or maybe?)
yes I am careful I don't need to go fast and always have the safety rope clipped to me, if I was to fall the belt would stop right away. It's so handy in the night and my husband can't hear it from the bedroom so he is not disturbed.
