I have RLS I take 0..5 Ropinerole 5 times a day spread over the day and it keeps most of the feelings away ,how much Ropinerole can I take safely

The leaflet should tell you how much Ropinerole you can take for RLS. But i think its 4mg a day...but i dont take Ropinerole so not sure if that is right...

I have found Ropinerole helps a lot but am only taking twice a day, any more than that seems to make it worse. I also take Pregabalin for migraine without the headache! eg prickly scalp, vision distortion etc, it's all neurological so has to be connected, doesn't it?

For RLS the recommended dose is 4mg per day but everyone is different. I could not tolerate this medication or any dopamine agonists. As little as possible I can only say. Certainly no more than 4mg.

I take 0.05 (half a tablet) every night with 4 mg neupro patches, any more than this and I couldn't cope the next morning !

Somehow a few years ago I managed to blag 5 x1 mg per day from my GP. Today I have been to a new GP to have try to get this increased to 6 x 1 mg. the answer was no, she told me that 4mg per day is the maximum for RLS. As my RLS affects me 24/7, without the relief that Ropinirole brings, I just won't be able to function. She has suggested an alternative that is only taken at bedtime. I am to start next week and am dreading the transition. Worst case scenario, it doesn't work, I will find out how long one can keep moving without sleeping before you collapse from exhaustion.
