Go to the dr. Two years ago I had a headache that would not shift. Thought it was a migraine. After a week we ended up getting emergency doc and I had Temporal/Giant Cell Artritis which required immediate attention. Was started on high dose steroids and then reduced them gradually for 18 months. It is inflammation of the temporal artery and that artery feeds the back of the eye. Steroids was to reduce inflammation.
It is more than likely to be one of your medications but all it took was an ESR blood test to contirm my diagnosis. With steroids the headache shifted in two days. And now I get my eyes tested yearly rather than every two years.
Please don't be alarmed, it is not common, but it happened to me.
My medication the patch gives me headaches most days, but they usually wear off as the day goes on. So, it could still be your med that is giving you them.
But i would go see your doctor and discuss it with him/her.
Most meds can cause headaches,. If you feel it is not your meds, go to a doctor about those headaches, because they certainly have nothing to do with RLS. Maybe from lack of sleep, but no connection to RLS itself. I get migraines, and have since I was a teenager. Are you taking a headache med, even aspirin every day? If you take meds for headaches every day, like Exederin, for example, you will get rebound headaches ( like augmentation with meds for RLS) If you take something evey day, you may actually be causing your own headaches. I know, because I go through that myself. so, then, I have to go 3 or 4 days without Exederin, or whatever, and "reset" the headaches. the days you have to without them suck, and the headache is someting you have to put up with to reset it. Goodgle rebound headaches, before you run in for any tests, but DO see the doctor. Headaches can happen for all kinds of reasons, so be safe and get it checked.'
And, if you have not had a sleep study, you should. If you ahve even mild sleep apnea, you could wake up every morning qwith a headache, because your oxygen flow is being disturbed to your brain. Lots of reasons! I would go with the doctor and ask for a sleep study of you have not already had one.
Everyone on here has such great ideas to help. I wish that I was as
wise as.
I used to have migraines, sinus headaches, and occasional cluster
headaches. I was given a beta-blocker and Paxil. It took 5 days to
get rid of them for once and for all. That happened to me 10 yrs
ago. My headaches used to lay me flat and often I threw up with
them. Not a single day went by without a giant one. I am still
taking both of those meds. today.
My son had many headaches over his eye and the brow for a year.
The doctor sent him to an Eye, Nose, Throat doctor who removed
his tonsils and Adenoids. Turns out that it was the problem entirely.
It's been 14 yrs for him and he rarely gets headaches anymore.
Yes I get headache all the time pain in my legs and arms all the time
