I usually get my RLS in the calfs and thighs but sometimes it goes up into the groin. This is really bad because you cant move anything. You act like a little kid who has too pee and is just squirming around. I have a few times got it in my upper arms. So where do most of you get your symtoms and what feeling is it? (Pain, creepy crawly, tingling, Spasms????)

Sounds like you got it good.

I have it in my legs, arms and back and when its in one of your arms, forget trying to use it. I lay on it, wrap it tight w/ a towel, flail it around like your waving all only giving short relieve.

What are you doing about it?

I use compression stockings for the legs, arm gauntlets for the arms and a tight girdle when it goes to the groin

I get it in my upper arm and shoulder sometimes...But my medication usually takes care of it for me.

I get it all over also. It usually starts in my left hip and lower back, then my legs, then it travels around until it gets to my arms and between my shoulder blades. It can be mild for some and brutal for others, there are a lot of levels for RLS. I take meds every day for it, plus relaxation techniques, etc. Some days are quiet, and sometimes they are horrendous, depending on what mood the RLS is in that day, and me. :o)

I get it in my legs and arms along with the pain and spasm when in my legs sends like an electric shock up my spine which then send the back into spasm, when in my arms it effect my speech and coordination , sometimes hot bath helps but very rarely , not on any meds right now i, does anyone go through a night where every muscle in the body hurts even your eyes ,

mine usually starts with itching then i know im in for a bad night or day.

I feel so sorry for you sal, I also get similar problems with my spine and pain everywhere. I have resorted to tramadol and diazepam as well as premipexole 0.088mg tabs 2 at night and now one in the morning. I am constantly bumping into things and have bruises and cuts all over the place. still cant sleep much even when rls is under control. i have had some success with magnesium oil, stops leg movements in its tracks. good luck, caz

in reply to

so so sorry to ask such a silly question Caz... do you drink

the oil or apply it? I need some serious help and advice to

get rid of RLS disturbances for a few hours. I'm so exhausted.

in reply to

It is applied, and it really helps me so much with the pain! If you are lacking in magnesium, it can be a bit itchy and burny at first, but soon gets better as you use it more, and I find I only need it a few times a week now, good luck!

It usually starts with the creepy sensation running from ankles to upper thigh. When I really get relaxed spasms and this deep ache starts. Then it time to get up and move. The deep ache is the worst. If its real bad it goes up in groin and lower hips.

Try stockings

yes, you can try them, but they surely do not work for everyone. there are several discussions on this already.

I only get it in my lower limbs ie from the knee down and more recently in my arms from the elbow down however I don't experience pain only a crawling sensation.

I seem to be developing RLS in my upper arms this can spread across my chest on what ever side its at!!!......Muscles jerking and quivering about to which I have NO control with out moving about massively (bed loks like a jumble sale most of the time!!lol!)...Im sure if this continues I will be the perfect candidate for the freak show at the fair!!!!!!

What I find most puzzling is the fact that my legs are soooo much better!!?

Maybe Im closer to that job in the fair than I realise!!!!!...lol

To actually answre the question that was aksed, yes, I get RLS all over, legs arms, between the shoulder blades, back, trunk, etc. Can hardly put compression stickings everywhere!! :o) BUtm that was not your question. I know a LOT of people, hundreds, that have RLS all over. My groups like to call it Restless Body Syndrome. :o)

My arms. I want to cut them off today along with my legs!

All four are driving me insane. I wore compression socks on

my hands'arms as well as my legs. I will try anything to get some zzzzz's.
