Can the antibiotic Doxycycline Hyclate make the RLS worse? I have a slight toe nail infection from a cut and got this antibiotic prescribed.

Thank you

Hey Palm, what’s going on with the hypophosphatemia?

It's fine.

As to your question regarding the antibiotic, there has been much anecdotal evidence that antibiotics temporarily improve symptoms. Others report a temporary worsening. It might come down to kind prescribed. healthunlocked.com/rlsuk/po...

I had no problem with doxycycline and RLS. But everyone responds to medication differently. I usually react to all medication except somehow the doxycycline.

I took doxycycline recently. It didn't affect my RLS at all however it wreaked havoc with my gut (now having a major acid reflux flare).

RLS wise, i seem to react to some antibiotics and not others.
