Has anyone used baclofen for RLS? I take it with my methadone and it seems to help me sleep through the night. When I tried not taking it, my sleep was definitely worse and more RLS>

It has been used for RLS and this paper shows the effect on sleep.
It was prescribed for me following a spine surgery and my RLS disappeared while I was taking it. Be cautious -- it has some potentially serious side effects.
I have over my lifetime with this condition. Tried that medication twice and almost thought I was going to die from it. It sent my body into like a Tourette’s syndrome. Never will. I use it ever again❤️🩹
Hi, that's interesting to hear. I found it very encouraging. Because I've been taking methadone for 10 months and haven't had much results. My nights are still very difficult. And since I'm sensitive to the side effects, my doctor is increasing my dose very slowly. To help with the process, he introduced Blacofen. Now I'm taking 3mg of methadone and 10mg of Blacofen per day. What is the dosage you take and how long did it take you to start feeling better?
You are probably not going to get results from methadone at 3 mg. An effective dose is at least 5 and I haven't heard of anyone who could take less than 7.5 and see any results. I take 10 mg. What side effects are difficult? I get do get sleepy easily during the day and have difficulty driving for more that about a 1/2 hours without stopping to rest. I was constipated at first but now take some magnesium and have no difficulty with that now. Luckily I have a partner who loves to drive. Those are about the only side effects I have. I take 10 mg of baclofen. I also use a Chinese suction cup set or a Pulse massager to move the fascia if I wake up with RLS. Sometimes I have to get up around midnight and drink some hot milk and do a bit of jigsaw puzzle and then I can go back to sleep. I probably average about 6-6 and 1/2 hours of sleep. You so have to time it right. I wouldn't take the methadone more that an hour before you go to bed because despite saying it is a 24 dose, the real effect for sleep and no RLS wears off after about 8 hours. That is far better that on any previous medication that I have taken except maybe the first year of pramipexole many years ago.
