Lithium and restless legs syndrome.

I mentioned before that I had been told that RLS can be aggravated/caused by Lithium medication but I know that it isn't on your list of potential suspects.

I've done a little research and I've found some paper that suggests there is a link (not all can be opened unless you have access to the platforms/journals) : -

sciencedirect.com/sdfe/pdf/...

pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/177...

uspharmacist.com/article/un....

Hope it might be of interest to some

The NHS - amongst its generally poor coverage of RLS - lists lithium as one of the triggers that can make symptoms worse.

Hi CCL, looking through those reports/paper it mentions using Pramipexole as one of the treatment for RLS. This old information and should be emphasised before reading the reports/paper. There is good information regarding Chinese herbal treatment but it stops there and does not mention what the treatment actually is, very disappointing. Thank you.

It's on my list (which is very long). Give me the name of a medicine and 99% of the time I can tell you whether is safe or not for RLS or not known either way.
