Just thought I would share Pycnohenol - I did note a warning for people with autoimmune disorders so do your own due diligence. This is not something I have tried .

You are all always in my thoughts

Thanks Shumbah.I tried this in desperation when on Oxycontin and pregabalin for 5 years. It didn't help in the slightest.

It's in my cupboard of pills and gadgets that didn't work. I have spent a fortune!

I think these things are likely only worth trying if people are not in any other medication, I could be wrong but that’s my thoughts.

The problem with RLS is that Restless legs is a symptom of so many other diseases.

This article was really focusing on Edema. "Research indicates that as many as 22% of those with Restless Legs Syndrome also have venous insufficiency. While additional research is needed to determine the relationship between Restless Legs Syndrome and edema, this study found that 81 % of subjects in the Pycnogenol group improved their status of minimal edema."

Good to have you back. I did find a trial on this last year and tried it on my wife. with N=1 no noticeable improvement but I think one of those things worth trying if supplements are your thing.

You are always in my thoughts ,I hope you are hope are powering on .

I am still finding interesting results for the long course of antibiotics my Buprenorphine dose is still a quarter or under . The think I must have also had an ulcer as I know longer have reflux symptoms, or night asthma . I wonder how long this new will last.

It has mads me wonder if there is something to the 2012 study and SIBO or leak gut type condition which blocks iron storage.

My off shore stemcell therapy is booked for May that will be another interesting treatment.

One day we will find the key

And you in mine. I am sure we will find gut health impacting on many more conditions and general health. It would fit with the huge variability in RLS with onset/offset/ treatment response... Microba based in Queensland has quite a sophisticated microbiome analysis. If they could include some questions on RLS in their health check and find some pattern vs people without RLS that would be a simple start. Just need to link up people on each side with an interest to make it happen...

Shumbah, sorry to jump in. Have you tried Symprove? It's a probiotic drink you take every morning. I discovered it after my daughter recommended it. She had a nasty case of salmonella and was poorly for months. A top gastrointestinal specialist recommended she try it. It rely helped and we started it.

It has helped my husband and I enormously.

As there are neurons in the gut, I'm sure it helps my MS as well.

It is great for RLS, particularly withdrawal from dopamine agonists. But it's illegal in the UK. However, it can be bought from Holland online and they post discreetly as herbal tea.
