has anyone tried Pycnogenol (French maritime bark) for rls? I read somewhere that it helps. I am in France at the moment and have bought a bottle of 50mg capsules. One a day hasn’t made any difference yet but I’ve only covered two days. Maybe I need to increase dose to 100 mg.? It is very expensive at €1 per 50mg per day.

Didn't make a difference for me. Actually there was just one "study" about its positive effects for RLS Looks like pure marketing to boost sales.

It is an anti=inflammatory so if inflammation is making your RLS worse, it could help. It is also for muscular pain and cramps. Since it is OTC, there is no harm in trying it.

Did nothing at all for my RLS. I used it for 2 months. I had bought around 4 month's worth. Sold it on ebay. But I have tried every single supplement or gadget recommended on here to no effect. And all the diets.

I have managed to sell on most of the stuff.

I take it for cardiac health - not sure about it for RLS, but here is a study that does show improvement... "Pycnogenol® prevents or relieves symptoms associated with restless leg syndrome and positively affects the venoarteriolar response. Future studies in this condition, including more complex subjects may indicate the role of Pycnogenol® in this common and still obscure syndrome and in subclinical muscular and neurological alterations."

Thanks for this DicCarlson I knew I had read it somewhere. I’ve increased my dose to 100mg (the people in the study took 150 so I might increase again). I’ll report back if there are any improvements but I’m not optimistic.
