Pramipexole

I am now on 2 to 3 at night. I mostly 2 at 7.00pm. I find Ibuprofen at the same time. This has helped no end. If I have a bad night I take 1 Pramipexole at 5.00pm then 2 at 7.00pm seems to work for me.

That is so good to get some relief from the horrible affliction.

I hope your doctor advised you about the dangers of Pramipexol.

The danger of addictive impulses such as gambling, shopping and sex.

Also the inevitable danger of a thing called augmentation, where the symptoms increase and increasing the Pramipexol becomes ineffective.

This is a weekly issue on this site.

Don't get me wrong. Prami is a wonderful medication for RLS, but an extremely dangerous one.

You could get years of relief, but inevitably,it will bite you very hard. Very painfully.

Just read up all the posts on this page to do with Pramipexol and Augmentation.

Some folks will be praying for you!

What dose did you start on 2 years ago? If you have increased the dose since then, it's the first sign of drug induced worsening.Just read my recent post about Dr Berkowski's article on these dangerous drugs. UK doctors aren't taught ANYTHING about RLS or the high rates of Augmentation.

Did your doctor warn you explicitly about gambling, overspending, overeating? If not, he should have done so!

Please, please keep a close eye on symptoms and NEVER increase the dose.

The advice you were given 2 year's ago is still very relevant.

For some reason HU won't let me Like your Post: keeps quoting 'status code 500' at me

Ah, it works for me now! First time I've had that issue: perhaps it means 'Poster has had too many Likes' 😉

Like yourself, I currently take 3 Pramipexol per night but one just needs to keep taking more of them to be effective. So be very wary about using it. Having joined this forum I have found, you are better slowly coming off Pramipexol and using a different drug. My doctor never explained this, they just kept increasing the dosage. I am now working on reducing and coming off Pramipexol. Also what I have found its determining the cause which is ones iron levels.

Not what you're looking for?
