it worked for me incredibly well. No restless legs going on2 years. Phenelzine is a maoMao inhibitor with the differencethaydifference that it only raises dopamine in the central nervous central system.

LIfe changer for me, but make you talk to a drDr, so many medicines can interact.

Phenelzine (Nardil) - as well as other MAO inhibitors -has been reported as triggering/exacerbating RLS in others, but it's great that it works for you!

Most antidepressants make RLS worse for many. Bupropion (Wellbutrin, Zyban) and trazodone (Molipaxin, Desyrel, Oleptro) are generally regarded as RLS safe antidepressants although some users of both still report problems - but there are so many other medications and factors that can trigger or exacerbate RLS it can be difficult for people to determine the actual cause.

Brilliant! Just goes to show how different our causes/epigenetics may be. I have theoretically faster MAOA but also slow COMT (both of which may affect dopamine, along with other neurotransmitters, hormones etc) and found magnesium really helpful generally, although the RLS (which I'd had from childhood and is familial) stopped when I went gluten free and was taking more vit B12. The familial tremor has also gone. Still have the fibro and small fibre neuropathy, but long family history of B12 and folate metabolism issues. You might find this interesting, see the Candidate Gene section ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...

Best wishes
