Has anyone ever experienced or heard of anyone experiencing worsening of RLS and PLMD due to fillers used in supplements or medications? Or perhaps the generic version of meds exacerbate symptoms? My husband has had a horrible time with extreme worsening of painful RLS and PLMD every night over the past month and we cannot for the life of us figure out why. No major changes except a new refill of Losartan and the pills look different.

Quite possible.
These additives are called excipients and include many unsavoury substances- colourings, binders, fillers and so on.
As you have guessed, different formulations of meds may react completely differently with patients.
This has come up a few times on this forum, where people have changed formulations or be forced to change by managements.
Hopefully you will be able to return to the original one, or get it from another pharmacy.
Certainly talk to both the doctor and pharmacy about your experience.
And let us know how you get on.
All the best.
If the pills are different and his symptoms have changed it's possible they are the culprit, especially if you can find no other cause.
