alternative to Sytron Liquid Iron

hi, I have just collected my prescription from the doctors and they have no Sytron in stock. No have any of the local chemists. There seems to be a shortage.

Can anyone suggest an alternative please?

You might check out amazon. There are a number of liquid irons there although none exactly the same.

Sytron contains sodium feredetate trihydrate of 41.5 mg/mL equivalent to 5.5 mg/mL elemental iron.

Listed possible alternatives are Feredet and Sodifer oral solutions which contain sodium feredetate 38 mg/mL also equivalent to 5.5 mg/mL elemental iron.

There are of course plenty of other iron solutions and tablets: as I say above, refer to your prescriber and/or pharmacist for advice - presumably a solution has been prescribed to suit your particular requirements.
