"Common or very common side effects: Angina pectoris; diarrhoea; dizziness; headache; myalgia; nausea; skin reactions; vomiting"

But you'll find similar lists of differing side effects against virtually all drugs. Whether any one person will suffer some of these effects, and where the cost/benefit balance lies, is an individual thing.

See the following chain for some reactions to dipyridamole. There's talk about using it on its own, diminishing returns, headaches..:

It did nothing for me. I am finally on a small dose of methadone and for the first time in 20 years I am sleeping through the night! I experience no side effects. And it is cheap!

Was this to control RLS or PLM? I have only very mild RLS, usually if I eat something sweet after 6pm (so I avoid it). PLM is my sleep disrupter.

he gets restless all over his body. Not just legs

RLS can be expressed in other parts of the body. It is just more common in the legs.

I'm so sorry you are getting such negative comments about dipyridamole. My neurologist has been prescribing it for me for three years now, and it works GREAT for me!! I have never had any side effects either. It calms my legs down almost immediately! I definitely would say it's worth a try. Good luck!

Do you use dipyridamole every night or just as needed? What dose? Thank you.

4 tablets a day, 2 with supper and 2 four hours later.

Are you still taking it alongside other meds LanaCSR? I seem to recall that you had a combination of meds that was working well for you.

You have a great memory! 😁 Yes, I take it with buprenorphine and Horizant.

I already have chronic diarrhoea to begin with and it made my conditon worse, so sadly didn’t work for me.

I have been using it with some success for about a year (225mg). It diminishes the intensity of the PLM and seems to help me sleep. I also take 400 mg gabapentin and iron every night before bed. It's not perfect, but it helps me. Headaches, yes, but these lessen with continued use.
