Thankgiving is a tough holiday for RLS sufferers here stateside. Even with the best of intentions the food and drink triggers and temptations are hard to resist. For myself it often leads to an early exit from the festivities. Even when I avoid all the naughty stuff I find it's hard to hang beyond a couple hours as angst begins to set in and uncomfortable clothes need to be shed.

Yeah-- I find wearing the turkey costume is a real botheration, especially later in the evening, when the alcoholically challenged come after you with the carving knife!ππ₯΅
Sorry- my wierd Irish sense of humour gets the better of me sometimes.π
Seriously- if you are on opiates, it would be ok to take an extra bit ,just on these occasions, or 500mg of Aspartame/Paracetamol.
I'm not sure about taking an extra shot of other meds- perhaps someone else can offer advice.
It's a real bummer when we are inhibited so much whenever going out for food- we have no control over the ingredients.
Really sorry for your situation. Hope you can find some hack
Good luck.
There are few things worse than being the only sober person at a party! Watching your friend turn to babbling idiots and pretending to laugh at jokes with no punchlines can be wearing. Work out a diet that you can tolerate and bring your own food if you have to. I drink lots of water and tolerate the boredom of sobriety most of the time. I seem to be able to tolerate a rum and coke and a pint of Guinness and still sleep. If you drink enough Guinness you can be excused for leading the party in Irish songs.
