Hi,Need to pick some brain's if ok, can anyone recommend any anti anxiety/anti depressants that don't contribute to rls and make you sweat constantly? 💜

Some OTC supplements that help anxiety are Ashwagandha, L-theanine and Honokiol. A good prescription one is Buspar, For an antidepressant - Trazodone or Wellbutrin. Trazodone also helps with anxiety. All 3 prescription ones may actually help RLS. I don't know if any of these will make you sweat but you can look up side effects on the web.

Wellbutrin works for me.

Are you certain they cause sweats? Opioids are notorious for inducing sweats. Oxycontin caused them for me and now Buprenorphine does the same.Safe Anti histamines help a little.

I'm knackered anyway I go because I'm also menopausal, have fybro, take opioids and sertraline, the sertraline is the biggest culprit at the moment as I've stopped taking it for the last few days and not sweating anywhere near as much. But also need a replacement for it 😔

Hope you find something. Wellbutrin or trazodone are mentioned as safe alternatives. Some find they help. Like most drugs & RLS, we all seem to respond differently.

black cohosh for menopause. Nothing like putting on a cooling ice pack vest from MSAA soon as sweats start. At 76, my sweats are from MS. I read that brain lesions stop the temperature gauge in our brains to stop working - hence no stabilized body temp. I start sweating sometime when it’s only 66 inside. At 25 outside, I sometimes just walk outside for 5 minutes and sweats gone!

I had night sweats alongside RLS for some months, but as far as I could tell it was because I was on a testosterone reduction regime as part of cancer treatment. While I can't rule out that yours is caused by a medication, female relatives have reported that sweating was commonly linked to their menopause. They tackled this with coldpacks

One thing you could to reduce abxiety/depression levels and probably reduce rls is to change your diet. Carbs and refined seed oils are known to cause inflammation in the body including the nerves which increases anxiety and depression as well as making the nerves hypersensitivee leading to rls. Check out Ds Chris Palmer or Dr Georgia Ede's 'Our descent into madness' on Youtube.

xanax, Celexa, weighted blanket, 400-500 mg magnesium, CALM powder, chamomile tea, CBD gummies. Benadryl also helps.

Celexa and Benadryl make RLS worse for many.

my body reacts opposite to a lot of meds. I was even allergic to all the DMTs for MS that doctor tried on me. Messed up DNA🤪Thank God I’m able to benefit from some meds.

I have sweats often and I take Kratom and sometimes opioids. Even the insides of my elbows are sweating-a new and bizarre feeling. Along with my entire scalp being wet. And my back soaked, legs, etc. etc. I would love a solution, as well. Try not to take benadryl-it is not good for RLS for most of us.
