It is usually advised to take pregabalin 1 to 2 hours before bed. You can try it and see if it helps. You could also try increasing your pregabalin by 25 mg every couple of days.
If the pregabalin / Tramadol only lasts for 6 hours then you get RLS again, i'm not sure that taking it earlier would help as this might be that you get RLS even sooner. Eg if you take your medications two hours before bedtime instead of one hour before bedtime, that may mean you get five hours of restful sleep instead of six as is currently the case.
I'm surprised that the pregabalin /Tramadol wears off that quickly. I take pregabalin 300mg around 7.30pm but don't actually sleep until around 11.30pm. Sometimes I get RLS / PLMD around 6am, sometimes not.
Antibiotics can sometimes makes RLS worse. In my experience, the stronger the antibiotic the worse the RLS. Because you're taking a number of medications, it's difficult to know what's causing what. Madopar - which is levodopa - has also been used to treat RLS so you're taking 3 medications that should help RLS.
Edema (swelling of the legs) can occur with both gabapentin and pregabalin.
You could try increasing pregabalin while you're taking the antibiotics to see whether that helps and then reducing about a month after you have finished the antibiotics however it would be best to get your doctor's advice given the number of things going on for you.
Hello, I have been taking Ropinirole 0.5mg 4 hours before bed and then at bedtime, I have been taking another 0.5mg Ropinirole and adding 100mg-200mg gabapentin. I have also been following others’ recommendation of iron supplementation, pine bark and apple cider vinegar although I am not sure how much those contribute. I added the gabapentin in order to decrease the amount of Ropinirole I was taking and this did help. The only side effects I have noticed with the addition of the gaba is somnolence (mild and only on the 200mg) in the Ams which wears off within a few hours but I sleep better and have been able to back off on the amount of Ropinerole.
