Would taking 2 50mg of Tramadol or 3 at night help with muscle pain in legs instead of just 1 will Tramadol cause augmentation and be hard to come off . Gabapentin working at 1800mg at night .

1. In my experience, tramadol isn't effective until 75 mgs. I would recommend cutting one pill in half and taking 1 and 1/2 pills (50 mgs + 25 mgs) at first - if you don't feel relief after 15 minutes, take the other half (25 mgs).

2. Tramadol can cause augmentation.

3. Tramadol also has a slight ssri component, so when you discontinue it, it's like coming off of two medications. Tramadol also lowers the seizure threshold, so it's well advised to taper down slowly instead of trying to quit "cold turkey."

250 mg of tramadol should work. I’m 77 from USA and that worked for me.
