Contour Legacy Leg Pillows ended my RLS nightmare (really!)

This may sound crazy, but I have suffered from RLS my entire life. Grandma called it "the fidgets". Google Contour Legacy Leg Pillows. I stumbled across these while browsing through a Dollar General store. I paid $20 each for 2. I sleep with them every night and I have had no more RLS problems. First of all, it helps if you go to bed at about the same time every night. Don't stay up too late. Your legs will fall asleep before you do. But I highly recommend these simple little pillows. I have been very surprised at how well they work.

That's awesome. Not crazy. Whatever works for the individual. Do you ever get symptoms in your upper body? It would be interesting to see if it helped that as well or not.

Can you send a link or photo ?

I don’t think these pillows are available at Dollar General. Are you affiliated with the company?

I had the same thought but maybe some of the stores do sell them - not at mine. I imagine the pillow could help if you don't move around once you are asleep and dislodge it. Between my RLS fidgets, having to go to the bathroom partway through the night and my cat wanting to sleep plastered against my legs (or between them) I would never make it through the night with this pillow intact. Hope the suggestion works for others.

Sounds interesting, and I'm pleased you've found something that works. Why do you need two?

Yeah, I can’t figure out how you’d use two at once. I have one too, and it helps with my lower back pain, which occasionally means it also helps with my RLS/PLMS. I like it but never chose to talk about it on this site because I really do think it primarily helps with back issues. For those of you thinking you’d never keep in place, you’d be surprised. You get pretty good at just squeezing your legs together and holding it there while you turn over. For back or stomach sleepers, the pillow serves no purpose. But it’s nice for side sleepers and it’s great it works for Zebrakicker!

Lucky for you! I've used this kind of pillow for years. Unfortunately, for someone with severe refractory RLS, this doesn't cut it. It only helps so far as it makes me comfortable enough to sleep on my left side, which is a prerequisite for me because I have to apply constant pressure on my left leg (the one most affected by RLS).
