I take 2 Ropinirole 0.25 mg and 2 Codeine Phosphate 15mg at bedtime and every 2-3 nights take 1 Ferro-tab 200 mg. Then about 2-3 hrs later take 2 Panadol, then about 2 hrs later take another 2 codeine Phosphate again. This allows me to get a few hours sleep!! Then I sometimes take 1 Madopar 62.5 if things are really bad. Not sure if my Ferro tabs are what you are talking about. Mine are for iron. They worked well at the start but don’t seem to be doing much now, apart from keeping my iron up. I really don’t have an answer but was put on Ropinirole because my GP wants me off Madopar but I still need it at times. I really have no answer and can’t see any great remedy for this problem. So man people have it and nobody I talk to has any answer to get a good nights sleep. Sometimes I have to take my Ropinirole at 7pm because my RLS is so bad. Sorry I don’t have any better news.

RLS
Have you considered getting off ropinirole and Madopar and switching to gabapentin. Ropinirole is no longer considered the first-line treatment for RLS. Check out the Mayo Clinic Updated Algorithm on RLS which will tell you everything you want to know about it including the latest treatment and refer your doctor to it at

I agree with Sue. Ropinirole is no longer prescribed, and Madopar hasn't been prescribed for over a decade.Your doctor won't know anything so I suggest you start reading everything you can about RLS, dopamine agonists, the link with low brain iron and print off the Mayo guidelines.
The more you learn, the more you'll realise that RLS is an ignored, serious disease and we will only get decent treatment if we learn about the correct treatments and educate our doctors. Outrageous but true.
