Side effects of Gabapentin? "Women issues" ....

A question for any females on Gabapentin (men ... close your ears and eyes! (smile)). I am menopausal, have not had a period for well over 10 years. Have been on Gabapentin for four weeks ... and have started to bleed again. Anyone heard of this? Big thanks, Sally

Hi ,never heard of Gabapentin causing this but please see your GP as its a symptom which shouldn't be ignored after 10 years

Hi, no, have never heard of that and bleeding after not bleeding for some time is post menopausal bleeding & should be investigated as to the cause. Please do make a dr appointment for this.

Thank you Butterflysun - I certainly will. I did just wonder whether the "sudden onslaught" of a new drug, ie Gabapentin, might have put my body in shock for a while ... it's a pretty potent drug .... x

please see your doctor again men shut your eyes. I had some bleeding recently got a rush appointment to see a gynaecologist at hospital they found nothing good news. But i have had a partial prolapse not enough to worry about after seeing my doctor. But now i have a full prolapse and i realised that’s where the bleeding was coming from it wasn’t a lot but again back to doctors. I am now being treated for that have to go back in another week to get the prolapse sorted. Now this might not be what you have but it does need investigating. x
