Why when I drink beer the first two cans encourages rls.
The 3rd or 4th kill rls and I sleep like a baby.
Next morning I feel fine no side effects other than I no I'm killing my body with alcohol abuse.
My point is I have taken many medications and supplements and all have side effects including morphine which like most leave you with a very dry mouth and feeling rough, yet beer doesn't.
Why can't the medical/pharmaceutical companies produce a beer equivalent???

Thanks to a new technique developed by Russian professor Evgeny Moskalev, now you can get drunk without drinking. Moskalev has created an “alcohol pill” using a method that transforms alcohol into a powder, which can then be packed into potent pills.Mar 18, 2010
The effects of pregabalin are pretty similar to having a couple of small drinks. Slight lack of clarity in thinking, reduction in anxiety, a tendency to be less inhibited and a general feeling of being at ease. I can understand why it was made a classified drug a couple of years ago with more controls around prescribing.
Hmm ... interesting. I sometimes think from what you read that we shouldn't eat or drink or do ANYTHING ENJOYABLE for fear of triggering RLS!!!!
(I've sometimes wondered if anybody - male or female - has had a baby after developing RLS ???)
With regards to alcohol, I certainly find that dehydration (which alcohol can so easily cause) makes my RLS much more likely to attack. I like a glass of wine, but try to drink lots of water with it.
After my divorce I started drinking to the extremes. Many nights I would get very mild symptoms in my arms that would quickly go away. After regaining my common sense on the drinking is when my RLS really started going nuts. My divorced brother also has RLS. When I asked him about what he did when it started acting up on him he said, “I drink a couple more beers”. Seems to me everyone has a different trigger.
