I posted this as a reply to another member, so some of you may have seen this, but I'm posting as its own now so maybe more will see it. One thing that MIGHT help. I have a CD that I play at night while trying to fall asleep and calm my legs down. It is a healing meditation. I didn't think of it right away, but one day realized that I actually was able to fall asleep more quickly and easily. I do wake up a few times during the night; I go potty and play the CD again and usually can quiet my legs again.
Out of all my creams, homeopathy and supplements, the CD has helped me most. Not as simple as just being a distractor, otherwise watching a movie and reading a book would have worked.
