I should have added a third option. 1 Temporarily increase the pramipexole to relieve the current crisis 2) Temporarily increase the tramadol or 3) just butch it out! Has any one any idea how long option 3 will take or is that a stupid question? I am 100% committed to beating this thing by the easiest possible rout. I am pretty used to being in hell at this point in time but any relief, even temporary relief that doesn't involve negating what I have done so far would be welcome.

I responded to your previous post.

I wouldn' try and butch it out.

Not a good idea to increase the pramipexole.

Whatever you do, do not increase the Pramipexole. I currently ONLY take Pramipexole for my RLS, and I take just one 180 microgram tablet early evening when I suffer the most. I might then still be walking around stretching my legs for 2-3 hours until that one tablet kicks in. Then I take a hot bath and know that I will sleep with no more problems from RLS during the night. I used to take twice this dose, until even then my legs would eventually get worse. That's when I read about augmentation here and decided I must be happening so I must ask to lower the dose and just put up with the discomfort. I'm fine with this, but constantly worry about how I can sit on a train or an aeroplane, or even in a theatre. COVID resolved that problem since we can't go anywhere, but when the time comes I know I will be anxious.

Have been on Tramadol HCL 50 mg for over 30 years for RLS. It has worked like a dream for the majority of the years....But, every few years I must reduce or stop completely the Tramadol for a day or two to reset the receptors in my body. I have been up to as much as 7 pills a day but am now down to 5 two in the late afternoon and 2 or 3 before bed. The result has been no RLS for the most part. Hope this helps. Never took pramipexole as I didn't need it with the Tramadol, and I feel there are more problems with pramipexol than Tramadol. 30 years is a long time to be RLS-free withTramadol. Hope this helps.😀
