Hello, just to clarify I'm assuming you mean you suffer RLS symptoms all down your right side.

If that's correct then I too suffer the same when I have symptoms. Right shoulder, right arm, right abdomen and right leg.

Do you get this during the day, or just at night?

Are you taking any medication for RLS? If so what are you taking?

RLS has some really weird symptoms. Mine are fairly typical largely in the legs but they have migrated to the back and shoulders over the past couple years. But usually my right leg is the barometer. If the discomfort is in my right leg then it doesn't usually last very long whatever that means. But if it starts on my left leg that means I'm in for a difficult time because if it's finished with my left leg it will move to my right leg and then sometimes back to my left. It hardly ever starts in the right leg first and switches. I am on meds which largely control it, unless I grit my teeth and eat a food which is a known trigger. Then I pay the price and it starts with my left leg. Go figure.

Hi sorry a bit late on this, yes I think we both suffer similarly, I never used to notice it as much as I do during the day or when I’m driving it can get very uncomfortable, I’ve come to the realisation that it’s going to have to be a mind over matter quite literally I have to find distractions to take my mind of it, I’ve accepted that this is a forever thing x

Hi Manerva, I get 24 hours a day, it’s bonkers, if I’m busy it’s not to much of a problem but as soon as I sit it becomes worse, I’ve often wished I was a horse so I could try sleeping standing up!

Hi I don’t take anything if I can, basically I’ve been prescribed clonazapam however 30 x 25mg would last me 6 months or more, I take them only if If I’ve had less than 2 or 3 hours sleep 3 maybe four nights running,

I think you ought to consult a doctor about possibly taking RLS medication. They have side effects but the benefit can outweigh those.

I'd also explore this forum to see what tips you can pick up about non-pharmacological remedies.

If you've never had blood tests because of RLS, then you could ask for tests for serum iron, transferrin, ferritin, vitamin B12 and vitamin D.

Vitamins B12 and D supplements can help if you have a deficiency.

Iron is a treatment for RLS as iron deficiency is a major causative factor in RLS.

The other thing you can do is see if there's anything making your RLS worse. This includes many medications and food elements.
