What should the level of ferritin be for getting rid of RLS

Ferritin
There's no hard rule, and neither is iron a lifesaver for RLS.50 to 60 % of sufferers may get relief or cure from having ferritin over 100 and preferably over 200. You can go up to 400 without starting to get iron overload.
Other people get absolutely no relief whatsoever. It's the iron in the brain that counts and we can't measure that yet. At least, not while you are alive. Research institutions are always seeking volunteers!😝
It's certainly worth trying iron supplementation or infusion- but only after consulting your Dr.
Thank you. I have found my ferritin is 88. Is it worth taking some gentle iron
Certainly.Gentle iron should be taken every second evening with vit C. I think on an empty stomach, but please check that.🥴
Hi Jollyjune, see my earlier post on this today, from having 63ugL and having really extreme symptoms for 3 months or so I was recommended 210mg x 2 Ferrous Fumarate doses every day and after a month I had total relief of the extreme symptoms, just left with the 'milder' symptoms. I know follow Madlegs1 advice and take these (same dose) every other day.
I had SEVERE RLS and iron supplementation totally eliminated my RLS (not the insomnia though). My Ferritin was 49, % Saturation was <20. Docs all said "normal" - get the actual numbers.
