Vaccine?

I'm due to have me covid jab tomorrow. Have those who have already had it noticed an increase in their rls? It's one of the things that worry me most about any injections or new medications

I’m about to head off for mine now & was wondering the same thing. I’ll report tomorrow how it’s affected my RLS!

I had it nearly 2 weeks ago. Sore arm. for a couple of days. No other noticeable effect.

The vaccine acts on the immune system shouldn't have a direct or even indirect effect on the nervous system.

Hope your experience of gettingthe jab is better than mine!

For some unknown reason I was given a clinic appointment and when I got there was asked to wait at the back of a queue of about 30 people. Some of whom were not socially distancing.

After standing for over half an hour, I was called by name and asked for my ID. Then asked where I work. I'm retired. Then I was told I shouldn't be there, shouldn't I be somewhere else?

It turns out this was a clinic for first line workers who are working with people every day, doctors, nurses, police etc

I'm supposed to be shielding.

I now wonder if being there so long in proximity to people who are at risk every day means my risk of getting the virus was increased more than the vaccine is likely to prevent it.

I'm thinking of getting a hazmat suit for my second jab!

No need to worry, had my first Astra/Zenaca jab a Month ago, resulting in the best nights sleep for ages.

I had Pfizer jab 3 weeks ago. No side effects at all, and restless legs going through a good patch ATM.

I had Pfizer on Feb 1 - next night I developed a rather severe back pain - not sure what it was. Sore arm, nothing else.

I had my vaccine on Sunday had the AstraZeneca one, on Monday i slept almost ALL day no sign of any RLS and i usual do, all evening up til 11-00 no RLS. i was thinking hmmmm maybe i wont need to take any meds tonight, thought there must be something magic in that vaccine to keep my legs soooo quiet

🙄 Monday evening i got a sore throat, a headache, was hot. but by bedtime it had all gone. and i took my meds So only mild side effects from the vaccine. :) Oh and sore arm where the needle went in, but not a achy arm like i get from the flu jab.

Had the Pfizer vaccine last night and it made no difference to my RLS. Sore arm today. My sister said she had a bad day one week later- probably because our MS drugs cause immuno suppression & Doctor thinks she had a delayed reaction. Just mild flu like symptoms though.

I had mine on the 29th, 12 days ago today. I had no adverse reaction, not even any soreness at injection site.

Rls no better or worse.

I felt elated when I got it done which I wasn’t expecting!

Hope you did OK. Had Moderna 2 days ago with only sore injection site and swelling. RLS remains unchanged

Thank you everyone for your replies. I had my jab on Thursday, and all was well. RLS has been the same as before. It feels good to see light at the end of the tunnel. Lets hope its not the lights of the oncoming train! 🙂
