Pramipexole and possible effects on memory

Could some wise person advise me of the above. I have noticed a marked deterioration in memory for recent events since discontinuing Pramipexole several months ago. I have always had difficulties with memory, but now am experiencing an acute deterioration. Thank you. I do not seem to be receiving daily messages from Health Unlocked either, I am not sure why this is or how to correct it.

As nobody's yet replied it doesn't look as if anyone has expetiencef this. I withdrew from pramipexole about 14 months ago with no apparent effect on my memory.

I do have a slight problem recalling words sometimes, but I think this may be due to gabapentin.

I think you have to set your notification preferences in your profile, but no joke, I 've forgotten how to do it.

I was so sleep deprived during augmentation and withdrawal from Ropinirole ( similar drug to pramipexole) that my memory was dreadful. It’s fine now.

You’ve only just come off pramipexole so I suspect the effects of bad nights is still with you.

I’d give it a few months and I think you’ll notice an improvement.

Thank you for your input, I will keep it in mind. My panicy daughter has decided I have memory problems, I know I forget words now and then but I think I'm ok for a 72 year old.

I too, have problems with word finding. This has been a norm for me but I do see the problem getting worse. My memory seems to be intact but I’m sure my difficulty with word finding has others questioning if I am have a problem. I just turned 71.

I have trouble with my memory at times with word finding , i have put mine down to sleep deprivation and my age 73. But then i have a friend who is the same we are the same age , but she doesnt have RLS and sleeps well. Then my daughter who is only 38 , doesnt have RLS also when talking to me on the phone at times struggles to find the word she needs to say, i put hers down to a fast pace family life, lots of others things on her mind, with a husband and two daughters to look after , the youngest one being diabetic.
