Well I thought that I would try and make something that I've known would work for many, many years now!! And you know what?? It did work for me, and a lot better than I ever expected it to!! ;)

So if you're wondering what I made, well I actually built myself a hybrid mountain bike that runs on the pedals as normal, but it generates power when you're pedalling which in turn then puts the power towards charging up the batteries!! :) And I have also fitted it with a 80cc petrol engine and an electric motor, and they all make a small amount of power that goes to charge the battery system!!! How good is that, and you've got the massive manufacturers that don't seem to be able to do it!!!

If I understand you correctly, you have an electric motorbike, that will need to be taxed and insured for the public roads?

But you won't be able to go anywhere on it because of the next lockdown/ surge?

Patent it quickly!

Pure genius!

Oh-- if you don't have to pedal, do your legs get restless??😜

Brilliant, a hybrid.bike you don' t have to plug in!

Just like the car adverts, try to sell a car that has an electric motor but stll uses fossil fuel and causes pollution by saying "you don't have to plug it in". That makes it OK then, that it's not a real electric car because there's no inconvenient plugging in. I'm sure future generations , if they manage to get born, will be very happy to hear their ancestors didn't have that inconvenience.

It will make them feel better as people drop dead from heat distress and starvation all around them.

I've wanted to have that rant for a while now, you've given me the excuse.

Perhaps I should practise to become detached from humanity then I wouldn't worry about such things nor the constant brainwashing we get to buy buy buy.

It seems the economy, (that is consumerism) is more important than saving lives in which case maybe lockdown wasn't a great idea.

But seriously, well done, it sounds fun and really useful.

Thank you!!!! Finally somebody has the, uh pardon me, balls (I don’t know if that is used at all the same way in the UK) to say that. So anyway, thanks for your rant because I am always wanting to rant about things like this! Bless you

Sus

Hi Sus, yes we have balls in the UK too.

Well some of us anyway.

I suppose it kept you out of mischief. Next project could be a mobile phone with a petrol engine to save you plugging it in!

It would need wheels!
