I have been on tramadol for a number of years and after taking everything in the universe to counteract RLS this is the only thing which is effective for me. It does however keep me awake which is strange it being a synthetic opiate I have had the horrible condition since I was 10 years old and am now 84 it only gets worse in time. Hope this is of some use. Keep strong everyone with the quarantine situation and trust some treatment is discovered which would be a blessing.Retren

Answer to query about tramadol
Hi Retren, good to 'hear' from you again. And thanks for posting. Yes, I recognise the side effect of tramadol of keeping me awake. With nicely calm legs, though. I stopped tramadol for this and other reasons and have since been switched to oxycontin. Although quite a few people report sleeplessness on oxycontin as well, and I also experience enhanced alertness in the 2-3hrs after I take the med, it lets me sleep quite well after these initial hours. I simply wait for the sleepiness to overtake and then go to bed.
Hope the tramadol is still working well for you.
Greetings I don,t post on the site much these days ,it becomes trying the constant struggling to deal with this condition.from so many . I keep hoping some genius will find a solution to the none afflicted RLS is an innocuous problem so other than a few researchers it takes a back seat.
